Around 10 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County Fire Department units were dispatched after a 911 call was made for a 25-foot boat engulfed in flames on the Patapsco River near Sparrows Point, MD. By 11 a.m. the fire was extinguished but the boat had sunk.
According to CBS Baltimore, Justin Bruzdzinski, an off duty firefighter and EMT, assisted with the rescue. Bruzdzinski says the boat was actually about 50-feet long and that two men were onboard. Both sustained only minor injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
