There are 46 N.B.A. players and 26 Women's N.B.A. players representing various countries at the Olympic Games Rio 2016, but this year, Team USA players will be staying aboard a luxury cruise ship. In order to minimize distractions and maintain security, USA Basketball has been placing players outside the Olympic Village since professional basketball players first began competing in the 1992 Barcelona Games. The luxury cruise ship Silver Cloud will be anchored at Pier Maua, in Guanabara Bay, and it will be heavily guarded. The ship "carries just 296 guests in incomparable comfort and style,” the Silversea website says. The Silver Cloud features beds that can accommodate seven-footers, has multiple dining areas, a bar, cigar lounge, and an open air pool. Happy sailing, Team USA!
