I just took a peek at the Blackwater Widlife Refuge Eagle Cam (view it by clicking here), and it seems our little eaglets have been busy busting their way out of their egg-shaped oval prisons. As of this morning, two of the three eggs have hatched, and the third is expected to bust loose any day.
Bald eagles once were threatened with extinction but were removed from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife in 2007.
