FishTalk Magazine and PropTalk Magazine have teamed up to join this year's
Fish for a Cure (F4AC) charity fishing tournament. And we need your help to raise money to benefit the Cancer Survivorship Programs at the Geaton and JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute at Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC).

According to Anne Arundel Medical Center:
The Cancer Institute at Anne Arundel Medical Center encompasses a large array of services ranging from prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment through survivorship. Many different types of professionals contribute to the care of patients in our programs. It is our goal to provide the best experience possible, no matter where or how a person encounters our cancer center services.
It is our shared commitment to patients and their families to seek out and offer the most advanced therapies, the best technology, and the most skilled physicians, nurses and staff while never losing sight of the fact that successful cancer medicine is about caring, rapport, and trust. We value and offer support services for patients and families, including nurse navigation, education, genetics counseling, support groups, social work and psychology services.
Fish for a Cure was started in 2007, and since 2010, the tournament has donated more than $1,350,000 to AAMC. In 2016 alone, F4AC raised $350,000.
This year we hope to contribute to the cause as Team FishTalk/PropTalk. Our team consists of our captain and FishTalk's Angler in Chief, Lenny Rudow, along with his sons Max and David Rudow, PropTalk production manager Zach Ditmars, and PropTalk senior editor Kaylie Jasinski.
For the fishing portion of the tournament, eligible fish include: heaviest rockfish (aka striped bass), heaviest stringer of five perch, catch and release rockfish (overall length of three longest fish caught per boat), and a Grand Slam (consisiting of heaviest stringer of three unique Bay sport fish species such as but not limited to: Rockfish, Perch, Bluefish, Toadfish, Pickerel, Red Drum, Black Drum, Cobia, Tautog, Speckled Trout, Croaker, Flounder and Spadefish).
We're playing to win, but more importantly we're playing to raise money for Fish For a Cure and the cancer survivorship programs it benefits at AAMC. The boat to raise the most money wins the "Captain's Challenge," and you can help our team by visiting
