Tuna Explosion from Tropic Star from Catch 1 Films on Vimeo.
This video (above) has been making the Internet rounds on Facebook and Twitter lately, and despite the annoying side commentary from the crew, it's quite an amazing video capture of a school of yellowfin tuna marauding a school of baitfish in the Pacific Ocean off Panama. Hungry, hungry tuna. The video is a bit long, but worth watching if you're into fish blitzes. Perhaps the best part comes around the 4:30 mark when an underwater camera catches some great shots of the tuna blitzing through the water as dolphin move in to take advantage of the situation. At one point (4:50) the desperate bait even take shelter around the diver. We're itchin' to get fishing here at PropTalk Intergalactic Headquarters. Opening day of Maryland's Trophy Rockfish season kicks off April 20.
