We’ll admit that when we land at the boat show, we have an agenda: as many boats as possible. We crawl over them and squeeze under them; we kick gunwales and poke berths. We’ve even been known to smell the . So when we hit the docks, we have an agenda. One of the things we’re most excited about is the list of new boats out this year. Here’s a small list to get you ready for the show: keep it with you, let us know what you like, what you don’t like, and whose teak smells the best. Grande Yachts is bringing in the Riviera 6000 SY, a sport yacht with an awe-inspiring aesthetic appeal, ultramodern technology, and palatial atmosphere. The whole Riviera yacht line exudes light and livability, and the 6000 SY is no different, from bow to stern. There’s a teak-laid cockpit with a convenient grill and drawer fridge, a 40-inch TV, a saloon with high end appliances and cabinets, a dining area for six, a full-beam stateroom, and even a heated towel rack in the head (we mean the ensuite). This is the yacht you will dream about at night. Dock C Bluenose Yacht Sales is bringing in the funky looking Rhea 27 Open, a unique-looking boat with a cool design. The boat has a flared bow and very spacious seating area both fore and aft of the steering console, and can be easily converted to a sun deck. This is a fun family cruiser with a LOA of less than 25 feet and a draft of just over a foot, and she’s sure to get plenty of second looks anywhere she goes. Dock F2   The all-new Regulator 23 offers a sporty fishing boat with plenty of bite. One thing that caught our eye is the amount of accessible storage on the boat: a 160-quart forward seat dry box, a 350-quart locking rod storage box, a 23-gallon transom livewell, and a 120-quart transom fishbox. This is a hot new boat from a legacy line, and we can’t wait to try her out. Dock A   Martimo America is bringing their smart new coastal cruiser, the Martimo 58. The motoryacht seems much bigger than her specs due to a breezy, open plan layout, full-beam master stateroom, and sunroof.  We love the clean lines of this boat, but even more than that, the layout and sturdy construction affords its owner the ability to be on the water for extended amounts of time with comfort and ease. Dock K3   We love trawlers for their space, their comfort, and their ability to go almost anywhere. So expect PropTalk to be crawling all over the Great Harbour GH47, a sturdy girl with twin diesels, an optional fly bridge, an aft deck perfect for sunny days, and a spacious interior. If you feel at home on the GH47, it’s intentional: appliances are normal-sized, with a priority placed on organized storage and stowage. This boat will have you dreaming about becoming a liveaboard, if you aren’t already. Dock D   The Ocean Alexander line is known for its traditional lines and contemporary styling. The Ocean Alexander 72 Pilothouse is no different, but she stands out as a smart yacht for the discerning boater who wants to see the world. This is not a floating condo; the 72 Pilothouse is fully customized to meet each new owner’s needs, and is outfitted to take you from Maine to Miami with the utmost comfort and stability. The 72 Pilothouse feels more like a 100-foot yacht, and she can hang with the best of them in Ego Alley. Dock B
