If you've never heard of Take Point Now, you probably will soon. This small company has just developed a jet ski that can be piloted by veterans with only one arm! Ewing, whose goal is to get wounded warriors out on the water. After being left with extensive injuries from his Iraq deployment, Ewing turned to jet skis because he found that sitting on a jet ski (or falling off of one) would cause no further damage.Their philosophy is that on the water, everyone is equal. Major P. K. Ewing. The continuing goals of the organization are to: 1. Inspire veterans, and their community, to re-enter the team dynamic and take on meaningful challenges. 2. Develop adaptive gear for disabled veterans and their civilian friends to regain a sense of self and community on the water. 3. Break Guinness World Records on personal watercraft (PWC) including crossing the Atlantic Ocean in record time. Ewing and his team have just successfully developed Linebacker, an adapted jet ski/PWC that can be piloted by a rider with only one arm. Next up is the prototype Defender, that is designed for individuals with lower limb disabilities. Six of their skis are named after Vietnam battles, like Khe Sahn and Mekong Delta, as a heartfelt thank you to all of the Vietnam veterans who have been supporting and inspiring today's veterans in hospitals. https://youtu.be/OAjmMYmvQLQ To learn more about Take Point Now, check out takepointnow.com .
