Earlier this afternoon, around 12 p.m., the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) reported on Twitter that they, along with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and U.S. Coast Guard Mid-Atlantic were responding to a two-boat collision in the Chesapeake Bay near Thomas Point.

The NRP has just released the update that there were no serious injuries in the collision between a charter fishing boat out of Kent Island and a J/105 sailboat out of Annapolis. According to the NRP, the US Coast Guard will take the lead on the investigation.
