A beautiful plate of Choptank Sweets. Photo by Gary Reich Yesterday's playoff game between Bay Country's Baltimore Ravens and the evildoers (the New England Patriots ) provided not only some welcome couch time for this weary, honey-do-listed-out editor, but also the opportunity to cook up some game-time snacks, which PropTalk always recommends. At my house--the Reich Ranch--it was delicious Choptank Sweets oysters that were freshly shucked, battered in flour, egg, and saltine crumbs (in that order),  and then fried in a bath of clarified butter. While we're not sure why it was OK for Tom Brady to try and spike Ravens player Ed Reed, or for the Patriots to personal foul the heck out of the Ravens without penalty, we do know that there's nothing better fried Bay oysters, Kelchner's cocktail sauce, and Bay brews such as Fordham's Coperhead Ale to make those bad referee calls go down easier. I know my nephew Pat Givens' better half Rachel will forgive me for rubbing it in... at least some day. Congrats to the Ravens on a great season. See you in New Orleans for the Harbowl.
