The Chesapeake Area Professional Captians Assocaition (CAPCA) is composed of Coast Guard-licensed captians operating primarily on the Chesapeake Bay and East Coast of the United States. In addition to offering services that allow individuals to hire a captian to run their vessel, they also provide classes for people to become Coast Guard-certified captians. CAPCA also provides a number of maritime-related classes open to the public, from offshore saftey and survival to basic marine electricity.
