Still from the incident video posted by Daryl Newhouse On July 23, police and Coast Guard responded to two boaters brawling on the Choptank River. They were on a rental boat which puportedly suffered $3000 worth of damage. Now, two of those brawling boaters are facing multiple charges. 21-year-old Asia Cooper Jr. and 19-year-old Joel Cooper of Crownsville, were charged with second degree assault, malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct, and fighting in public in a manner that disturbs the peace. Asia Cooper Jr. was also charged with reckless operation and negligent operation. According to CBS Baltimore, if found guilty of all charges, Asia Cooper Jr. could face jail time and fines up to $6,500. Joel Cooper faces fines up to $5,500.
