Light City Baltimore, a free festival full of large-scale light installations, performances, music, and innovation, kicks off today and runs through April 8. One of the installations features three sailboats covered in 500 lighted umbrellas in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, near Pier Six. With the heavy rains today, one of the sailboats started sinking, according to the Baltimore Police Department. But luckily the police Marine Unit saved the day by pumping water out of the boat in a timely fashion. The installation is now fine and ready for the first night of Light City! Find a map of installations and a schedule of events at lightcity.org/schedule. Courtesy twitter.com/BaltimorePolice
