Don't we all love free, easy, and well maintained access points to the Bay? The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) proudly announces some much-appreciated upgrades to several public access points. The extreme makeovers happened in the following locations: three in St. Mary's County, one in Talbot County, and another in the town of Oxford. Just click on the interactive map. Boat ramps, soft launches and details regarding these sites are listed by jurisdiction. The majority of public access sites in Maryland are managed and maintained by the local jurisdictions in which they are located. Fees and permits vary by jurisdiction, so it is highly recommended that you contact the local entity before you go. The days are already getting shorter, so make the most of the remaining summer sun. See you out there!
