The Blackwater Eagle Festival is this weekend, and we can't wait. Especially it will be one of our first chances to walk around outside without mittens and a hankering for hot cocoa, but besides that you get a chance to see a majestic eagle grace the sky. We highly recommend you get there early and take a birding walk with a guide. Bring your binocs and your camera. If you want to watch the Blackwater Live Eagle cam, click here. However, thanks to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum's Facebook page, we found this live cam and can't look away. Live streaming video by Ustream Berry College in Georgia had two bald eagles create a nest on their campus in 2013. Eagle nests are huge - much larger than your regular robin's nest. They can be bigger than 15 feet across and weigh as much as three tons. Berry College did one of the coolest things ever and set up an eagle cam, and it's instantly become our favorite thing to do (well, besides creating PropTalk. That's pretty awesome, too).
