At around 8 a.m. this morning, fire units were dispatched to Breezy Point Marina in Chesapeake Beach, MD, for reports of a structure fire.

Engine 12 (Sanders) and Tower 1 ( Capt Ortenzo) responded. Chief 1B (Morrison) and Sgt 1 (T.Mills) arrived to find a 60x30 lightweight metal building fully involved. Chief 1A(C.Mills) arrived and assumed command. Engine 61 and Engine 12 arrived and began to make an exterior attack. Units from Huntingtown, North Beach, Dunkirk, Prince Frederick, St Leonard, Deale, and Harwood-Lothian operated for approximately two hours to control the fire and pull apart the debris all while working in high standing water. Unfortunately it was a total loss but no exposures were affected."
