The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel would cost $3 more to cross on weekends in the summer under a proposal to accelerate expansion of the 17.6-mile span.
The commission that oversees the crossing will present those and other tolling changes to the public at meetings in June before a final vote in July on whether to approve the increases, which would take effect in 2014. The plan includes toll increases every five years thereafter.
