Is the Severn River being aided by the oysters that grow on our reefs and docks? Can oysters that filter 50 gallons of water each per day make a real difference in the cleanliness of the river? How are our oyster reefs doing? Will a strategy of adding millions of more oysters to the river have an impact? What can SRA do to clean up the river quicker? The public is invited to learn about Oysters and their effect on the Severn River and the Bay during the next meeting of the Severn River Association (SRA). The Severn River Association's special guest, Mr. Len Zuza, “Mr. Oyster” and former President of the Southern Maryland Oyster Cultivation Society (SMOCS), , will address the oyster and its highly effective role in cleaning our waters during his presentation,Can the Oysters Save the Severn?
